7:30-7:40 Unpack/Morning Routines
8:20-8:30 School News
8:30-9:00 100 Book Challenge
9:00-9:20 Community Building/Morning Message/Poetry/Cheers
M- Introduce poem/Reread Several times
T- Give children own copy to put in Poetry Binder then have students practice and create illustrations
W- Reread whole group using chart and look for different words, sounds, etc.
Th-Children bring Poetry Binders to rug and we practice this week's poem as well as others from the year
F- Children practice reading poem independently or with a buddy and then we come together and have a few recite the poem
9:20-9:50 Spalding (Learn new phonograms, review old phonograms, game, and dictation)
9:55-10:45 Related Arts
10:45-11:35 Math
11:35-12:05 Science and Social Studies (with a writing component)
12:05-12:50 Lunch
12:55-1:25 Common Core (Reading with a Writing component)
1:25-2:40 Guided Reading and Literacy Centers (with a writing component)
2:40-2:50 Clean up/Classroom Jobs/Teacher fills out behavior calendar and students practice sight words and other skills in seat
2:50 Dismissal
